Weather & what to pack
Nairobi is generally mild in November, with cooler mornings and evenings and the possibility of rain. We recommend packing light layers, a light jacket, comfortable shoes, and a compact umbrella or light rain jacket.

Wilson Airport — 7 km from venue, approximately 20 minutes

Most international participants require a visa to enter Kenya. We recommend applying well in advance.

Conference visa support letters:

Registered participants may request a visa support letter from the ABN Conference Secretariat. Contact conference@africabioethicsnetwork.org after completing registration. Allow 5 business days for processing.

Apply for your visa at least 4–6 weeks before the conference. Do not wait until accommodation or travel is booked.

Nairobi is a major international city. Exercise normal urban precautions. Use registered taxis and ride-hailing services.

We encourage participants to arrive a day early or extend their stay to experience Nairobi. A curated local guide will be provided in conference materials.
